After being stuck in mud for more then 20 hours, an 84-year-old woman was finally spotted and rescued by local police in Zhouzhi county in Xi'an, northwest China's Shaanxi Province.
The old woman lost her way the day before, and kept waking until she landed in this muddy area. By the time she was found by pedestrians, she was almost buried in the mud, with only her head and shoulder over the ground. After 40 minutes of effort, the old woman was successfully rescued by local police. The old woman was taken home by her family and recovered well.
